I had a blast this Sunday in Atlantic City doing a "we did" session for J. and R.  What a fun, fun couple . . . and SO obviously in love.  They kindly put up with me walking them all over the place, and it was such a kick to hear the countless cries of "congratulations!" from boardwalk passers-by.  Here are just a few sneak peeks for them . . . it was such a treat meeting you both this weekend, J. and R.!

But if this show actually traveled from place to place, I just might have . . .

I attended the PhotoPlus Expo in New York on Friday and completely geeked out on camera gear.  I had fun shooting the forthcoming Nikon d3 even though I have been "half Canon" for a while now (oh, the shame of it all). I checked out new albums for clients, ogled this bit of fabulousness , heard a completely inspiring speaker , and even ran into one of my favorite photographers (as it only stands to reason that I would find a Canadian photographer that I'd met in Michigan roaming the Javits Center).  As much fun as I had--and as much as the old NYC nostalgia hit me--I was ready to come home yesterday.

And what a treat I had waiting for me: a minisession this morning with adorable E. and L., and their fab mom Shannon.  Shannon, you might recall from an earlier blog entry, is the founder of Premier Baby Concierge.  Here are just a few quick sneak peeks for her.  It was wonderful meeting you and your girls this morning, Shannon!

I know, I know

I have been neglecting the blog a bit this week.  I've been busy editing, packaging orders, and getting ready to attend the PhotoPlus Expo in New York tomorrow.  I'm actually quite excited--not only to hear Joe Buissink speak (go to his site for gorgeous wedding images and a few famous faces), meet a few of my favorite vendors, and fawn lovingly over the latest and greatest in camera equipment, but also to have a day to myself in my old stomping grounds.  I've missed living in New York so much.  My clients will understand if I never come home, right? ; )

From this week . . . just a few snapshots here and there.  I have not had much time to shoot as I've tried to play catch up with the holiday rush.  I did take time out, though, to play with a wide angle lens for a few minutes.  LOL.  Like my kitty?  And of course, a few of my girl.  Until next time . . .

I had such a fun time yesterday with adorable little N. The weather was just perfect for her Center City session, and mom could not have been more prepared . . . wait until you see these fabulous outfits. These are just the first few photos that I pulled, and there will be many more in your gallery, C. and G.  It was lovely meeting all of you!

After the session I couldn't resist a few snaps of my girl as well.  Here she is performing what would seem to be an interesting combo of flamenco and ballet.  ha ha!!

. . . but oh-so-cute.  Look who I found taking a jaunt in the city today.  I just had to bring her home with me. ha ha : )  Yes, it's posts like this that make it glaringly obvious that a) I have a strange sense of humor at times and b) I read a little too much Dickens in grad school.  Hope those that had the day off enjoyed it--we did!  And believe it or not we also ran into a client in center city.  Nice to see you again, J., if you're reading this!

At long last, a little modeling gig for M.

My mother-in-law looooooves Hartstrings , so when my Miss M. was 14 months old I submitted her photo for a fun modeling opportunity with the clothing line.  We went to their corporate offices in Devon and M. tried on the clothes and she was told she'd have the job--with a catch.  She needed to be able to walk the next month before the actual photos were taken, and she was a late walker.  Now, to my unbiased mommy mind--ha ha--it is far better to have a standing, non-walking toddler for your model.  But it was not to be, and she missed out on her chance to make Nana's dreams come true. ; )  She recently got a second chance, though, not for Hartstrings but rather for a talented up-and-coming designer, George Gabrielle Couture .  It took a little bit of "spin," as moms of three year olds might imagine, but once I talked up the "princess dresses" and "ballerina tights" she had the time of her life.

Counting down . . .

I was absolutely flabbergasted when I saw Christmas decorations up at Macy's the weekend BEFORE Labor Day this year--seriously?  That's what we're doing now, people?  But, as much as I dislike yapping about the holiday season before it's really and truly here, yap I must. : )  The October schedule is now filled and there are only 4 session dates available to make the holiday deadline of November 11th.  Anyone who has had "book session" on his/her to-do list for a while with holiday cards and portraits for gift-giving in mind, please drop me a line sooner rather than later.  Of course sessions are available in late November as well, but holiday delivery is not guaranteed at that point . . . please see the AVAILABILITY section on the main site for more details. A couple of favorites . . .

I was sitting here putting the finishing touches on the M. family's gallery when an e-mail from K. popped up.  I thought I'd share two of my favorites from her gallery while she waits ever-so-patiently for the rest.  Truth be told, I was tinkering with my new "artist's favorite" watermark after editing the photos--for shame. : )  Your gallery will be up tonight, K.!  It could be up sooner, but naptime is just about over here . . . .
