While I had dinner on the stove, someone else was whipping up a fine concoction. Even though I should have been a little more attentive to my own dish, the combination of retro dress + cute, matching stove + gloriously warm sunset light streaming from the windows proved too much for me. I had to take a few snaps!

Join us for inspirational words from members of Choices in Childbirth and creators of the Guide, area birth professionals, and local moms and moms-to-be.
Help us make Philadelphia the City of Motherly Love and empower women and their families to make informed decisions about their maternity care.
We will meet in Love Park at 11 am on Labor Day, September 3rd before we head out to distribute the Guide to women and families throughout Philadelphia.
I know it is still *quite* warm outside, but it is time to think about holiday sessions . . . believe it or not! Sessions must take place by November 11th to guarantee holiday delivery of portraits and greeting cards, so if you are contemplating a session this holiday season, let me know soon. Many thanks to the clients who have called already. I have opened the October calendar but I can still shimmy a few more folks into September. :)

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing her big brother's two year portraits. I have loved watching this little guy grow over the past two years! Here he is "window watching" while a little furry someone watches him. : ) Thanks, little N.--I had a great playdate yesterday with you!
We've been cooped up in the house all week because of the seemingly unending rain (although I will confess that I love rain--must be all that British blood), so we just had to get out of the house today for a little while. And lo and behold, I got one of my favorite shots of my sweet girl. The only problem is, where will I put THIS enlargement? My walls are going to be so full. As it should be! : )
There's a nip in the air this week. Okay, so it's been accompanied by a deluge, but still a definite nip and that means fall cannot be far away. What better time to book a Center City session? A textured urban backdrop and colorful, funky layered looks make for stunning portraits. I've found some amazing areas in the city for shoots and, truth be told, have even found some "urban" spots on the Main Line. ha ha! It turns out that my newest clients live only about six or so blocks from me--how fun is that? I have to say, I was loving life as I got into the car at 8:55am for a 9am session this morning. It's such a beautiful day that I would have walked if my camera bag weren't so heavy. Here are just a few sneak peeks for the K. family--many more to come in your gallery next week.
